Meyrick hotel
The Meyrick Hotel is housed in a stunning Victorian building, which dates from 1845 and has played an integral role in the life of the city for over 160 years. The medium sized lobby, with its marble floors and leather sofas, conveys an authentic sense of Old World Irish hospitality. Accommodation consists of 97 luxurious guestrooms. The standard rooms are decorated in a modern style: rich crimson and cream colours combine with ultra modern light fittings. The corridors in the main part of the building are extremely wide and have been elegantly restored with marble and rich rugs. The hotel offers a range of bars and dining options. The newly refurbished “Oyster Grill” Restaurant is an experience not to be missed when it comes to dining. Its large windows overlooking Eyre Square set the scene for a fine dining experience and the sumptuous menu features traditional steaks and Ireland’s native seafood. The “Oyster Bar” is the hotel’s newly refurbished bar, located on the ground floor and offering a wide selection of drinks and an impressive cocktail list. There’s also a new late night lounge, called “TOSH.”

Comment
For the price we paid we were disappointed with the actual room. Also because of the location of the hotel we found it extremely noisy outside with both people and traffic especially buses as the Bus Depot was located directly below our hotel room. Breakfast was just ok not a fantastic for a 4 star hotel but I suppose there was enough of a selection.
Top Tip
Highly recommend the hotel itself for an evening meal. Also The Huntsman Inn and KC Blakes. Shopping is disappointing so stick to sightseeing.
